Kryptic VPN ("the App") is a free, ad-supported VPN application for Android. Your privacy is our top priority. This policy explains what data the App does and does not collect.

            In short: Kryptic VPN does not collect, store, or share any personal data. There are no user accounts, no tracking, and no backend servers.
        

1. Data We Collect

None. The App does not collect any personal information. Specifically:

No user accounts or registration
No names, email addresses, or phone numbers
No browsing history or VPN traffic logging
No device identifiers or location data
No analytics or usage tracking
No data is stored on remote servers

2. VPN Connection

The App connects to free, publicly available VPN servers provided by the VPN Gate project (operated by the University of Tsukuba, Japan). When you connect to a VPN server:

Your internet traffic is routed through the selected VPN server
The VPN server operator (a third-party volunteer) may have their own logging policies, which are outside our control
Kryptic VPN itself does not log, monitor, or store any of your traffic

We encourage you to review VPN Gate's own privacy policy for details on how their volunteer-operated servers handle data.

3. Advertising

The App displays ads provided by Google AdMob. Google may collect certain data to serve personalized or non-personalized ads, including:

Advertising ID
Device information (model, OS version)
General location (IP-based, not GPS)

This data is collected and processed by Google, not by Kryptic VPN. You can review Google's privacy policy at policies.google.com/privacy. You may opt out of personalized ads in your device settings under Settings > Google > Ads.

4. Third-Party Services

The App uses the following third-party services:

Google AdMob — for displaying advertisements
VPN Gate — for providing VPN server lists

Each of these services operates under their own privacy policies. Kryptic VPN does not share any data with these services beyond what is required for their normal operation.

5. Data Security

Since we do not collect or store any personal data, there is no user data at risk. VPN connections are encrypted using the OpenVPN protocol.

6. Children's Privacy

The App is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect any personal information from children. Since no personal data is collected from any user, this applies equally to all age groups.

7. Changes to This Policy

We may update this privacy policy from time to time. Any changes will be reflected on this page with an updated revision date. Continued use of the App after changes constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
